seasonal flu gave us 164 deaths per day. Notably, inexpli-
cably, the current 2019/2020 average flu deaths per day is
also about 160 per day.
As of June 10, COVID-19 has doubled the worst year of
the flu in only 4-months. Remember, the State of Ohio
was the first state to start locking down, the day before
St. Patrick's Day—on Monday March 16th. We have only
passed the end of 90-days since first lockdown. If indeed
COVID-19 is with us for a minimum of one year, we are
only a third of the way through this!
We have not seen a reduction in actual per day fa-
talities. The average is around 980 per day; the current
actual per day is now around 980. This is a coincidence
that is probably just a result of the point on the long curve
we are on.
What does all this mean? It means, if we remain at this
"acceptable" plateau of 1000 deaths per day, COVID will
be SIX times worse than the worse flu year.
